Trivia: The story helped “HTV Magazine” earn its second Broadcast Pacemaker. Photographer Carrie Coleman was co-News Director with Nikki Peck, and 1996-97 was the first time the “News Director” position officially existed on HTV. From 1989-1996, there were no official staff positions.
